What our guests say
19th - 22nd October 2012
We organised a break here just a day or so before arriving. We were due to fly to New Zealand on Friday 19th Oct but had to cancel at the 11th hour. Our visit here was to allow us to get away, help get over the disappointment of not going to New Zealand and to help us recharge our batteries for challenges ahead. Glenfruin Lodge has played a pivotol role in helping us unwind, enjoy a good sleep and celebrate our great love for each other. The Lodge is beautiful, relaxing and everthing we needed at this moment.
Thank you for allowing us to stay here at such short notice. The break has been perfect for us… the right place at the right time.

We found the cottage very comfortable and also a good base for touring. During our stay we visited:- Dunoon, Calandar, Aberfoyle, Tarbet, Inverary – a trip to oban via Lochgilphead is well worth it.

Cottage very pleasant and warm, excellent weather! Must do’s are the train to Mallaig – stunning and Hill House. A trip to Callendar is worthwhile mainly due to the drive through the Trossachs.

Thank you for the welcome to your lovely Lodge which we enjoyed staying in. Although us ‘Oldies’ are not as active and agile ‘walking wise’ as we used to be – we were enjoying our trips round and about and visiting some of the places other folks have mentioned and were looking forward to doing a bit more – but sad to say we received ‘not good news’ from home and we had to leave & return there.
Will certainly be recommending Glenfruin Lodge & Crosskeys Holiday Lets to everyone – and hope to come back ourselves sometime.
Many thanks

A cosy and comfortable Cottage that had everthing we needed. As I was here on a course I did not manage to visit many of the attractions in the area, which means we will have to come back again! And I would have no hesitation in coming back to Crosskeys.
I can highly recommend Duck Bay Restaurant – lovely food, good service and an amazing view over the Loch.

Crosskeys Cottage is where my father Duncan Ferguson, his father John Ferguson and his father John Ferguson all lived whilst working for Luss estates. The cottage has been beautifully decorated and modernised making it feel warm and welcoming. A great base with which to explore and visit this most beautiful part of Scotland.
We have had a lovely stay, cosy and warm and for my memories a lottle bit of personal history.
Thank you again.

We’ve had a lovely week at Glenfruin Lodge. The Lodge is beautiful and very well equipped. The fire and whirlpool bath were both lovely added bonuses!
We visited Balloch and took a boat tour around the loch. Luss is worth a visit as it is a beautiful place and there are some lovely walks.
Inverary is a lovely place for a day trip – the scenery on the way is breathtaking. The castle and jail in the town are also worth the money.
Thank you for a lovely week, we will be back!

Warm, cosy, comfortable and quiet Glenfruin Lodge is in a good central location. We enjoyed cycling the West Loch Lomond Cycle Path, treating ourselves to a coffee stop at ‘The Carrick’. Our best day was cycling around the beautiful Loch Katrine. We had a lovely sunny day, coffee was good at the cafe (we took our own bikes, but they can be hired at the loch).
This is our first trip to Scotland to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We have had a lovely time and hope to return soon.

Having taken a couple of overnight stops to get here, we were really pleased to arrive at this lovely cottage, and have a warm welcome. There is so much to see and do that we will have to come back and would happily stay at Crosskeys again!
We intended to spend one day in Glasgow but with so many places to visit (particularly as big Charles Rennie Mackintosh fan!) we had to go back for a second day. Recommend the sight seeing tour and take the train in – it is quick and good value. Inveraray is worth a visit, lovely small town and the castle is impressive. Oban is also worth a visit and Genfinnan monument.
All in all we had a great week here!

Thankyou for a delightful stay in your lovely house. The ‘Lodge’ was perfect, homely, clean and a great base for exploring the lochs. We have been blessed by glorious weather. What a lovely location for a cottage.
Kind regards,
