What our guests say

14th - 15th July 2012

We haven’t been here for along time, but we had a lovely time.  We were surprised by the luxury of Glenfruin Lodge.  We really enjoyed the whirlpool bath after the wet climb up Ben Lomond.  We also did a walk to Loch Lomond in better weather.  It was lovely.

This was a very nice break in Scotland, Thank you!

We’ve enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and very attractive Cottage (Crosskeys).  We chose the location partly to revisit some of the places we know from long ago, as we youth hostelled in the Trossachs in the 1950’s.  Quite a lot of changes, but of course the scenery is just as splendid.  New to us was the woodland garden at Ardkinglas and can recommend a visit to see some wonderful trees; also taking the little road to Stronachlachar to enjoy the lovely views of Loch Katrine.  Even the wet days were happily spent in Glasgow – a fine city with lots of interest.

We had a lovely time here at Crosskeys in Glenfruin Lodge and were made to feel very welcome.  The Lodge was very modern and ideal for a week’s stay.  The whirlpool bath was an added bonus.

We visited Stirling and Glasgow (train from Balloch) as well as taking a boat trip on nearby Loch Lomond.

Loved our week here at Crosskeys.  The perfect location to come and relax.  We stayed in the Lodge, and having the wood burning stove added to the romantic evenings!

The accommodation standard was higher than we expected, clean and modern.  The ideal location to be as busy or as relaxed as you like.  Alison & Craig made us feel welcome.

Thank you.

The Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, excellent base for exploring the area.  Lots of walks with our dogs.

Thanks for having us, we’ve had a great week with some unbelievable weather!  Great for plenty of time in the great outdoors.  Ben Lomond and the Cobbler hills, both recommended.  The village of Balmaha was one of our favourite spots for some woodland strolls, rowing boats and ice cream.

A wonderful stay in a fabulous cottage.  We did lots of exploring and visited castles, gardens, and the Island of Bute, saw stunning mountains, lochs, waterfalls and met some lovely friendly people.
