What our guests say

22nd - 29th July 2017

Thank you for a  lovely stay!  Very relaxing!  Such a well appointed and equipped cottage (Glenfruin Lodge).  Central to everything.

Walks included Ben Lomond and The Cobbler.  Unfortunately mixed weather prevented more exploration on foot!  Toured the Trossachs and also visited Glasgow for the day.  Very convenient park and ride at Kelvinbridge Car park which is close to some galleries and museums.

Local visits included The Hill House, Geilston Gardens, a cruise on Loch Lomond, Luss, Arrochar.  Lots of things to do and see in such an idyllic setting.

Having lived for several years in an old (and cold) farm cottage in this area, we can appreciate the effort that must have gone into making Crosskeys Cottage the lovely wee house it now is.  A great base for visiting old friends.

Had a lovely peaceful break at Crosskeys cottage.  Great dog walks at Balloch – Alfie was in heaven!

Visited Helensburgh and also up to Arrochar.

A lovely stay as always in Glenfruin Lodge.  This year we went to 3 Highland Games, a treat if you want something different.

Glasgow Museum and Botanical Gardens also well worth a visit as it Stirling Castle.

A mixed bag of weather but never a problem as plenty to see and do.  Also a lovely cottage to return to at the end of the day.

Will be back next year.

It was a pleasure to stay at the fully equipped Glenfruin Lodge.  We did and saw many things during our one week stay.

We drove the full circle around the National Park.  We went to Oban for a day and Fort William for a day as well.  The drive through Glen Coe (the valley, not the village) was outstanding!

Arienne and Paul walked the first part of the Three Lochs Way (from Balloch to Helensburgh) and Paul climbed to the summit of Ben Lomond. Tough hikes, but amazingly beautiful and recommended!

One day Elise went pony trekking at Rednoch (near Port of Menteith).  It was fun and they particularly keep your level of skill in mind.

Maisie (the cat) visited us from time to time, snoring all the time…  she was kind of like a second host.

Thank you very much!

Dear Craig & Alison

We really enjoyed our honeymoon here in Crosskeys.  Had a lovely time exploring Loch Lomond and all of it’s surroundings.  Your cosy cottage has surely done it’s part in making this a perfect holiday.

Thank you so much for everything you’ve done and until we maybe meet again!

Best regards, Lucas & Anna, Germany

Glenfruin Lodge has been the best cottage we have ever stayed in, in the loveliest of locations.  Made perfect by the frequent visits of Maisie, the cat.

We enjoyed wonderful boat trips from Luss and Balloch with very knowledgeable commentary.  We took two train journeys: one to Oban and the other to Blair Atholl.  Spectacular views surrounded us, especially on our journey to Oban.

We will definitely be back.

Thank you!

Comfortable, well equipped cottage (Glenfruin Lodge).  A perfect bath for relaxing after spending the day on the many Corbett hills in the area.

We both enjoyed our stay in a top class cottage.

We have had an absolutely wonderful stay here in Crosskeys Cottage and Scotland too.

Being so close to Loch Lomond, Helensburgh etc has been amazing.

The cottage has been fantastic, and its location couldn’t be better.

We have recommended you to all our friends!

Thank you,
