To Craig & Alison,
Thank you very much for letting James, Lilly, Snoopy & I stay in your beautiful cottages. We had a lovely week here and are sad to be going home! We did some sight seeing whilst we were here and must say that Luss & Balloch Castle Country Park are lovely places to visit.
We will be recommending your cottage to friends & family looking to stay in the area, it is a great location for exploring the surrounding countryside.
Thanks again, Fliss & James, Lilly & Snoopy (our dogs).

Again, a thoroughly enjoyable week in the peaceful surroundings of Glenfruin. The week brought the hottest day of the summer so far, and also the heaviest rainfall in a 24 hour period, and the Lodge was perfect for coping with both.
Well worth a visit to any Highland Games that take place in the area – Balloch, Rosneath & Inverary are all within an hour’s travel. Very easy to get into Glasgow for visits to places such as the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. Plenty of great restaurants locally – our personal favourite is “Mira Mara”, a small and modest looking establishment on West Clyde Street in Helensburgh which serves truly some of the best traditional Italian food anywhere in the UK! For scenery and walking, the Rosneath Peninsula, Lochgoilhead and Strachur are all within easy striking distance. Outdoor theatre at the ‘Hill House’ in Helensburgh was very enjoyable.
Look out for the bats swooping over the garden at dusk – delightful to watch! Sorry to be leaving but we will be back again…

Lovely cottage (Glenfruin Lodge) in a lovely area. Some very nice restaurants in Helensburgh – Masala Twist, for me the best Nan ever, La Barca for authentic Spanish tapas and the Wee Kelpie for wonderful fish & chips!
Had a trip on the West Highland Railway to Oban which was very spectacular as was the return by bus due to the Scotrail strike! Had trips to Luss & Balloch on Loch Lomond and enjoyed a visit to the Hill House.
Very enjoyable.

Lovely cottage (Crosskeys Cottage), good base to take trips from. Bird of prey centre well worth a visit & Hill House superb. Made our annual pilgrimage up to Glen Coe – Piper still there even in the rain.

Had a great week at Glenfruin Lodge, lots of adventures. Ate at Fruin Farm Restaurant which is just the other side of the roundabout outside the cottage. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Beautiful cottage, thank you.

I have had a fabulous week staying at Crosskeys Cottage. Such a charming cottage with fab features and lovely décor! I have well and truly fallen in love with the cottage and the area, just wish I didn’t have to go home tomorrow…
Thanks Craig for lending me your wok to cook my clams from Loch Fyne, they were delish. Places to go – I really recommend ‘Pucks Glen’ near Dunoon. Loch Fyne restaurant. Fruin Farm Restaurant (over the road from here) also does a lovely breakfast. Inverary is lovely too as is the most amazing views on the drive up there.
Thanks again and hope to be back soon!
