What our guests say

29th June to 6th July 13

This has been a lovely break for us.  The weather could have been better but it’s not been cold so hasn’t stopped us from venturing out.

The cottage (Glenfruin Lodge) is very comfortable and didn’t miss a thing from home.  The bed was wonderful & so much room.

We’ll definitely be recommending this one.  Spotted an eagle in the trees to the left of the patio, but didn’t see ‘Shadow’ (the cat).

Thank you for a lovely stay.

22nd - 29th June 2013

The Cottage (Glenfruin Lodge) is perfect for a relaxing break and we had a great week exploring the Trossachs.

Loch Katrine is beautiful and well worth walking around and Conic Hill gives amazing views of Loch Lomond.

We will definitely be back.  Thanks for a great week.

9th -15th June 2013

We came here for our honeymoon, the Lodge was perfect, great area, nice and quiet with access to plenty of different places.

The Lodge is lovely and spacious.  We have really enjoyed our time here.

Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful break.

We would definitely come again and recommend to friends.

25th May - 1st June

Glenfruin Lodge has been the perfect place to relax and unwind.  Very spacious for two with a very comfortable ‘executive’ sized bed, with the added luxury of a whirlpool bath!

A beautiful area to explore; bluebells everywhere!  Enjoyed Inverary Castle – excellent hilltop walk for spectacular views over Loch Fyne; Balmaha – lovely lochside walking; Loch Katrine – very peaceful for walking and the ‘cruise’; The Hill House – a ‘grand design’ to enjoy.

Thank you for the warm welcome and fresh flowers…

18th - 25th May 2013

We’ve had a lovely week – thank you.

Lovely, comfortable and cosy cottage (Glenfruin Lodge).  The bed is enormous and very sleep inducing.  The weather has been very kind to us and we’ve both picked up some sun on our last day.

Recommend a visit to Balloch Castle Country Park – take a picnic if the weather’s good.  The views of Loch Lomond are lovely.  Glasgow by train from Helensburgh is good value £6.70 return & free parking too.  The Hill House is worth a visit also.  The Oak Inn in Balmaha does good food & beer.

13th - 18th May 2013

We have had a lovely week here at Glenfruin Lodge.  The Lodge is well furnished and cosy and the whirlpool bath and giant bed were a welcoming relief after a days climbing or cycling.

The Lodge is in a great location for exploring (we visited Stirling, Ben Lomond, Luss and Balloch) but remote enough to feel like you could be in the middle of nowhere…

A lovely relaxing week and would love to come back.

4th - 11th May 2013

We have loved our stay here in this lovely cottage.  Perfect location for exploring all that Scotland has to offer.

Would definately recommend Crosskeys to family and friends and come back in the future.

Thanks to Craig & Alison for everything.

30th March - 6th April 2013

We have had a wonderful stay at Glenfruin Lodge, close by our daughter and granddaughters (in Helensburgh) so we could visit daily.  The weather has been wonderful and sunny although chilly.  Our granddaughters enjoyed having sleepovers and wanted to live here!

I have had the best sleep in months, must be the fresh air and supersize bed…

Thanks for a great stay.

2nd April - 6 April 2013

The stay in this nice Cottage of Craig and Alison’s was our “round up” of our Scotland holiday.

The cottage was located perfect for nature viewing and city viewing as well.  During our stay we visited Glasgow and Edinburgh and we also id walking in the Loch Lomond area.

Scotland is a great country and the place here at Crosskeys is great too.

No doubt that we will recommend Craig and Alison’s place to other German families who also plan to visit Scotland.

Many thanks for the stay and looking forward to meeting you again…. sometime…

Lovely cosy lodge – amazing to have a wood burning stove and whirpool bath in one place!!

Really enjoyed our stay (went too quick though) – would recommend Loch Katrine very remote and beautiful.  For food and good ale go to the pub (Loch Lomond Arms) in Luss – try the Haggis dish and sticky toffee pudding plus a few whiskies!

Thanks for a lovely stay.  See you again hopefully.
