What our guests say

31st August - 7th September 13

We’ve had a lovely relaxing week.  Glenfruin Lodge is just perfect, has everything you need for your break.  It is a great location for exploring Loch Lomond.  We had a trip to Oban, the scenery was breath taking.

We will be back.

We have had a lovely week despite our very teethy 18 month old!

So much to see and do in the area.  Perfect location here at Glenfruin Lodge.

Highlights (child friendly obviously!) have been Luss, Balmaha (amazingly peaceful beach to ourselves!) and lovely lunch at Balloch House Hotel (pie day) followed by great playground!

Lovely cottage – well furnished with all we needed for a week of quiet evenings in and comfy sofas!

Thanks for a great stay!

We loved our stay here at Crosskeys.  A nice cosy, warm cottage (Crosskeys Cottage).  Helpful owners.  A good base to local areas of interest.  Plenty to do and see.

Enjoyed our stay here and hope to return some day.

Thanks so much.  Crosskeys cottage was perfect – close to Alan’s mum in Helensburgh and great for Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Stirling etc…

The kids had a fabulous time and loved staying in a 300+ year old cottage.

What a beautiful place to come and stay, we have had a wonderful time discovering this part of Scotland.  Scenes that take your breath away and it started her in this lovely cottage (Glenfruin Lodge).

Hope we may come back this way again.

Thank you.

Thank you.

21st - 26th July 2013

We’ve enjoyed our stay at Crosskeys Cottage.  Visited Helensburgh, Balloch, Luss (it’s pretty), up to Tarbet (took ferry across to Inversnaid), then over to Stirling Castle (worth a visit), up to Inverary (castle & jail and nice coffee, shops etc) stopped off at Loch Fyne on way back (picked up some yummy salmon).

In terms of dining, we liked the boathouse at Cameron House Hotel, good food plus beautiful setting and the Duck Bay Hotel again fab setting.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Lodge, which is very comfortable.

The scenery is fantastic and the walk along the ‘loop’ can be recommended, all set off with the very best of Scottish Weather.

Thank you!
